Start with the denomination
Dollar value = credits × dollars per credit. The denomination supplies the missing link between a credit count and its cash value. Use the amount shown in the game's rules or on the machine.
At $0.01 per credit, 2,500 credits equal $25. At $0.25 per credit, the same balance equals $625. Changing the denomination changes the value of every credit.
The denomination is also different from the total stake per play. A 75-credit bet on a $0.01 game costs $0.75, because 75 × $0.01 = $0.75.
| Credit balance | Dollars per credit | Cash equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 | $0.01 | $25.00 |
| 2,500 | $0.05 | $125.00 |
| 2,500 | $0.25 | $625.00 |
Convert dollars to credits
Credits = dollar amount ÷ dollars per credit. For example, $25 at $0.01 per credit equals 2,500 credits. The denomination must be greater than zero for this conversion.
A result with fractional credits is a mathematical equivalent. A particular machine or redemption system may accept only whole credit units. Its rules determine how any remainder is handled.
A manual BTC conversion
Gross USD value = BTC amount × USD per BTC. Subtract the entered USD fees to calculate the net amount under those assumptions.
For 0.002 BTC at an illustrative $80,000 per BTC, gross value is $160. With $5 in entered fees, the modeled net value is $155. The exchange rate is a fixed example, not a live market quote.
The calculator uses the rate you provide and does not retrieve an exchange quote. Check the rate and fees relevant to your own conversion before interpreting the dollar amount.
Check whether credits can become cash
Play-money credits and some promotional coins have no cash redemption value. Use a dollar denomination only when there is a documented cash value or redemption rule. Wagering restrictions, conversion limits, and fees can still affect the final amount paid.
Common questions
Are 100 credits always worth $1?
Only when each credit is worth $0.01. At a $0.25 denomination, 100 credits are worth $25.
Can I convert loyalty points?
You can use a documented dollar value per point for a simple conversion. Use the comps calculator to model rewards from wagering and an assumed comp rate.
